Governance & Leadership
Preparing girls and young women with disabilities to lead — in communities, organisations, and governance structures across Kenya.
Women Who Lead, Communities That Thrive
Effective, inclusive governance requires the participation of all members of society — including girls and young women with disabilities. Yet structural barriers, negative attitudes, lack of resources, and limited access to leadership development exclude this group from governance spaces at every level.
Our Governance & Leadership program builds the political literacy, leadership skills, and institutional confidence of girls and young women with disabilities — preparing them to run for office, serve on community structures, and lead organisations effectively.
We also work with governance institutions to champion inclusive practices that create space for women with disabilities in leadership roles.

“After the governance training, I stood for the youth representative position at my ward. I won. I now sit on the county budget committee and I advocate for girls with disabilities every session.”
